Garden & Grounds at Prested

The grounds at Prested Hall are extensive (about 75 acres) and offer a range of different habitats. Around the Hall the lawns are manicured and perfect for a leisurely stroll. The water behind the Hall is part of an old moat and is enjoyed by a variety of water birds.

We have an old apple and pear orchard and we use the fruit in our kitchens. We also have abundant hedgerows so you may well find home made elderflower cordial and a range of jellies and jams at Prested.

There are many mature and lovely trees in the grounds, which have received enthusiastic comments from tree specialists.  We have planted well over 1000 native trees since we came to Prested.
