Christmas Wreath Making Workshop
10 ladies from across north Essex enjoyed an afternoon of creativity on Wednesday 28th November at Prested Hall’s first Christmas Wreath Making Workshop.
With expert tuition from crafter Debby Faux, the ladies enjoyed mulled wine on arrival with fresh mince pies and learnt from scratch how to produce a fantastic door wreath using foliage from the Prested estate.
Despite some of the ladies never having had any experience of hands-on floristry, they each created a fabulous festive wreath to be proud of. First-time wreath-maker Tanya was having so much fun she didn’t notice the time!
“(The) wreath making was really enjoyable. I went on my own but that didn’t matter as Debby was really friendly and we were all introduced to each other. “said Tanya
“How on earth I managed to make something out of a pile of moss is amazing. Debby was very hands-on. She explained everthing clearly and there was no rush – in fact I was enjoying it so much I didn’t leave until 5pm! Everyone’s wreath was really good and they all looked different. What Debby can do with a piece of ribbon has to be seen – amazing!
I now feel confident that I could make a wreath on my own. I would highly recommend the activity. The nibbles and drinks were a nice touch too. Thanks again to Debby and all the staff.” said Tanya.
If you’d like to join Debby on one of the forthcoming workshops call us now on 01376 573300 to book. All ages and abilities welcome, all materials are supplied but feel free to bring something of your own if you would like to personalise your wreath further.
