A beautiful 15th-century part-moated manor house, Prested is probably one of the county’s best-kept secrets. Set in 75 acres of beautiful parkland, Prested is relaxing, stylish, and peaceful.
Whether you are looking for a conference space, private dining, afternoon tea with friends, or an exclusive wedding venue in Essex, Prested Hall delivers. With stylish interiors, beautiful grounds, and friendly accommodating staff, it remains unequaled in north Essex.
In contrast with many other venues, you can choose to hold your event at Prested with exclusive use of the whole manor house. This enables you to really relax and make Prested your own.
Over the last 25 years, Prested has hosted many corporate events, weddings, celebrations, and special occasions. Our brides regularly refer to us as “just perfect” due to our emphasis on making everyone feel relaxed and looked after and our corporate guests love the seclusion of the grounds, removing the distractions of everyday life.

A very friendly old style hotel. Set in it’s own grounds, this is a really nice hotel for a short stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the hotel, which is an old style ex Manor House was spotlessly clean. We only spent a couple of days there with friends, was a perfect hotel to relax and catch up. Also surprised at the price, in this present climate it was very reasonable. Would recommend
