Having lived, worked and studied all across the UK, I can honestly say this is one of the best equipped Gyms relative to size. The equipment on offer is brand new, good quality, and because it's a Hotel gym/ Spa, it's usually quiet. They have a free weights area with two benches and two sets of dumbbells and barbells. Having been a member of Bannatynes, Virgin, Nuffield Health and several other leading chains, they offer a wider selection, yet they are often so busy you don't get a chance to actually use anything! The steam room is a great size along with the Sauna which is PIPING hot adjacent to a gorgeous pool. Unfortunately, I can't swim, but the view out of the window is great and on sunny days the patio doors are open with sun loungers to relax and tan. This area is surrounded by tall, beautiful shrubbery allowing for peace and privacy. Front of house staff are great and personal trainers and tennis coach are outstanding (completely forgot about the indoor tennis court!). Can't recommend enough and wish I knew about this place sooner.
